The new Neighborhood Services on Lovers Lane in Dallas has a 7 oz. Miller High Life and shot of bourbon called the Long, Hot and Dusty Day special on the drink menu, and finishes off your meal with a package of four Junior Mints. Sweet.

The Club 544 in New Orleans is now Funky 544. No more Gary Brown, but still a funky good time.

Denver’s 16th Street Mall is loaded with bars and resturants to sample, but a Hybrid Bus that stops at each corner makes it the easy and safe way to bar hop. Try Marlowe’s.

At Tom Bergin’s in L.A., happy hour food consists of wedges of corned beef on rye. Nice.

The national drinking age in 21 years of age everywhere but apparently in Hollywood, where newspapers and magazines keep reporting on overexposed young starlets partying at clubs and sometimes binge drinking. Where is the law enforcement?

There is a popular drink in Scotland called the Whisky Mac: a shot of blended scotch and a shot of Green Ginger Wine over ice. Reminiscent of a Stinger. Delicious before or after dinner.

Getting gassed (or lit) in the Gaslamp is not the point here. San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter is fast becoming one of America’s great drinking and dining districts.
